When I graduated in 2008 as an engineer in electro-mechanics, I specialized in system integration in buildings: a very new topic at the time. I started my career at Schneider Electric, joining their Building Automation project team to complement their expertise in HVAC with my newly acquired system integration skills. Within this team I evolved as a Project Engineer, then Solution Architect for all types of projects ranging from commercial buildings, to hospitals, data centers and large real-estate projects. I also developed some of the healthcare specific solutions, such as the operating theater solutions.

After technically leading the release of the new “building operation” product line, and earning my feathers as a solution architect in larger, corporate projects, it was time for me to spread my wings. In 2017, I joined Auvi, an ambitious system integration company, where I took up the role of CTO and continued my work as a solution architect, this time working with multiple large brands of building automation soft- and hardware.

After 3 interesting years at Auvi, I got the opportunity to take up the role of “Expert Technology & Innovation” in the “Living Tomorrow 2030” project, building a large innovation campus, meeting center and hotel. This allowed me to look beyond just building automation, and get to deep-dive in the broad spectrum of technological and non-technological innovations, leading a development team and working in partnerships with large businesses.

After delivering the “Living Tomorrow 2030” project in 2024, I went back to my first love as a system integrator, which culminated in the launch of UB Logic in 2025.
